Brian Bowes is an acclaimed Illustrator and Professor of Illustration at Savannah College of Arts and Design (SCAD). His work is known for his captivating character-driven artwork and compelling storytelling.
Notably, he collaborated with Foolscap Press on The Story of the Fisherman, an exquisite limited edition letterpress print book that has earned a place in prestigious collections worldwide, including being housed in the Rare Book and Special collections Division at the United States Library of Congress.
Before embarking on his teaching career, Bowes held positions as a Youth Education Director for the Santa Cruz Mountains Art Center, and as Illustrator Coordinator for the San Francisco North and East Bay chapter of the SCBWI. He loves sharing his expertise and has been a guest lecturer at various universities. Bowes holds an A.A. in Graphic Design, a B.F.A. in Illustration, and an M.F.A. in Illustration.
